ダーニャさんの近況報告！

2019年、秋の短期生だったマレーシアのダーニャさんから近況報告が届きました。
英語で文章をもらったので、今回は英文と訳を一緒に掲載します。

I had Eid ul Fitr celebration! However, we could not visit our family because we do not want the virus to spread. So, we had a small celebration at home.

5月24日はイードのお祭りがありました。
※断食明け大祭（イド・アル・フィトル│Eid ul Fitr）
コロナ感染拡大防止のために親戚に会うことが叶いませんでしたが、家で家族と共にささやかなお祝いをしました。

I went to my friend’s house to give her traditional Eid ul Fitr food.

友達の家に行って、伝統的なイードの食べ物をあげました。

My country is handling the Covid19 cases well. On 06/30/2020, there were only 2 new cases in Malaysia. Everyone is taking safety precautions to avoid the virus from spreading.

マレーシアは、コロナの封じ込めに善処しています。6月30日は、陽性者がたったの2人でした。
みんな、コロナの感染拡大防止に努めています。

On 06/24/2020, schools in Malaysia opened for the first time after 3 months of lockdown. However, schools are only open for students aged 17 and 18 years old. Students of other ages continue with online learning at home. Since I am 17 years old, I need to go to school to study. This is what my school looks like.

6月24日、マレーシアがロックダウンをしてから3ヶ月ぶりに学校が再開されました。
しかし、私の学校は17才と18才の生徒達だけが登校を許されました。
他の年齢の生徒は、引き続きオンラインでの学習を余儀なくされています。
私は17才なので学校に行って勉強しています。
私の学校はこんな感じです。

Before entering the school, students have to line up 1 metre apart and take their temperature.

登校時は、1メートルの距離をとって検温をしてから校舎に入っています。

This is my class. We have to sit far from each other to avoid the virus from spreading.

教室では、互いに距離をとって座っています。

This is my school’s headmistress and the thermometer reader.

この人は、私の学校の養護教諭で検温をしてくれています。

Since school has opened for me, I am busy doing school work. I need to work hard for my exam!

学校が再開されて以来、私は試験に向けて一所懸命に勉強しています。
